Concurrent Engineering
Our mission is to supply products that best satisfy our customers' needs in terms of performance, reliability, price and delivery.
Throughout the prototyping stage, MPC accomplishes these targets through concurrent engineering.
Beginning at the earliest stages of design, MPC engineers continuously exchange ideas and design information with your personnel to efficiently develop a unit that fulfills all of your needs. MPC performs design work on AutoCAD systems, and information can be exchanged electronically, allowing you to easily incorporate the design into your system.
Communication through a series of prototype reviews, plant visits, and face-to-face meetings enables MPC engineers to work with you as a team. The lead engineer serves as the primary customer interface throughout the design and development stages and ensures that all concerns are readily addressed by the appropriate personnel.
Formalized meetings are held during the design and development process to share information, set goals, schedule tasks, review progress, identify and resolve potential problems. Each meeting accomplishes a specific task and allows MPC to track the development of the prototype design at every stage. Design critiques ensure that all aspects of your specification, statement of work(SOW), and contract are addressed while maintaining performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
MPC employs a complete engineering staff, including all of the disciplines required to design, develop, manufacture, and test your complex system. Concurrent engineering allows these disciplines to work as a coordinated team. Within the MPC organization, six groups are assigned specific responsibilities throughout the prototype process.
The six groups/disciplines are:
- Design/Project Engineering
- Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
- Product Cost Management
- Sales/Customer Support
- Program Management/Program Coordinator
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Each group works concurrently towards achieving a common goal -- working with you to ensure full conformance with your requirements and an on-time prototype delivery. And, MPC is committed to maintain this team relationship throughout the life of your program. |
